A few weeks ago we got together with some friends of ours and went to a cubs vs white sox spring training game. It was SO hott but we had a blast and the company was great! And the cubs won...
So one day Maddox and I were able to go to the Phoenix Zoo with a "baby signs" class. We learned signs for a few of the animals and then went and enjoyed the park. Maddox loved watching all the silly animals.
The giraffs were probably one of my favorites.
There was a Little People's Farm play area and Maddox had a thing for the lamb. It was the only thing he wanted to play with!
At the end we went on the carousel ride. Maddox was a little freaked out but LOVED it. We also went to "pet" the sting rays. I think Maddox wanted to jump in and play with them more than anything.
Alright, onto our next "fun thing". We went to San Diego to visit Tommy's sister, Stacey, one last time before she headed back up to BYUI. Our biggest adventure was the beach!
This is how he rolls.
Such a BIG boy standing all by himself! (We are still working on the whole walking thing..)

Just doing a little sun bathing.... Don't mind me.

Stace face and the big guy!
The happy family.
So, who knew you could get such cute pictures with an old broken pair of glasses?

HA! It doesn't get much cuter than this!!
So, last but not least, what would spring training be without going to a Padres game!?

Daddy and future Padres fan. (Notice Maddox is wrapped in a blanket on the bottom half? Thats only because he had like the BIGGEST blowout of his life. Of course we had to be at a baseball game with out any change of clothes!)
Well, there you have it! Compared to the last few weeks, our calendar is looking pretty empty! We have had so much fun enjoying the nice weather in Arizona. It won't be nice for much longer................ Ugh. :)

We had all the food catered by a company that Tommy uses on a weekly basis for his lunches. It consisted of HUGE burgers, pulled BBQ chicken, Mac-n-cheese, a salad, twice baked potatoes, and a fruit and veggie platter. Seriously, SO good! We had so much food left over it wasn't even funny. My freezer is full and we will not starve for the next few months! Anyway, lets get to the festivities.
First taste!

Just chattin' it up on his new phone...Well, tonight he is having his party where lots of family members and friends will be attending. Maddox, you are SO loved!
Maddox and Daddy at the Temple

Maddox loves his binky's!

face to face
He wasn't so sure about the swings at first.

Here he is just chillin on one of the toys. He had so much fun playing on the slide and all the different toys they had there.
So, we also went down to La Jolla and went out to eat at "Alfonso's". Delicious Mexican food. Later we walked down by the beach and stopped at the place that Tommy proposed more than three years ago..

.....all the hard work payed off. 1st place!
