Maddox has SKILL

So, within the last few days, Maddox has really started to walk all the time. For the past month or so he would just take 3 or 4 steps to get what he wanted but really didn't care to walk any more than that. He is still wobbly but is walking so well. I cannot believe our baby is walking!!

Also, I had been kind of working on Maddox being able to feed himself by himself with a spoon. He really didn't care to and wanted to play with the spoon more than eat with it. I thought I would give it another go today and he did such a good job!

It is amazing how fast he is growing and how much he learns everyday. When I snuggle with him at night before I put him down to bed, he is just my sweet little baby.. But, during the day he has grown into such a fun little boy. He sure keeps us entertained!

Better late than never...

So, I never posted about Easter or any of the happenings of the last few weeks...

Here is Maddox going after his first Reeses. Life will never be the same.. He got a few tasty chocolates, a movie, some cars, and grandma Winfree got him a very large, very soft duck (which he loves to snuggle)!

Here is the big guy playing at fountain outside a restaurant... He loved to throw pennies in.

So, Maddox has also had his first date. A candle-lit dinner at Houston's with Kennedy. She is only 6 or 7 months old and they are the same size. It was pretty cute.. Maddox tried to feed her a pbj and all sorts of other goodies!

Maddox also loves spending time at the pool and playing in the grass. We are going to have some fun this summer!

Our Little Trooper

So, Maddox has been pretty sick for the past month, just with a cold that turned into an ear/sinus infection. Well, after giving him his antibiotics for almost a week and no progress had been made I took him back into the doctors. Fortunately, progress had been made and the infections had cleared up. However, what was going on with this horrible cough he has had for so long!?! The nurse did an albuterol treatment and then sent us down for a chest xray (which was like the hardest thing for me to watch. He had to sit in this tight little plastic tube while I held his arms above his head... so sad!) The treatment helped a lot. Turns out he has some sort of bronchial infection. So, we got a nebulizer (sounds like something fake from a sci-fi movie) and are doing the albuterol treatments as he needs it every day. The first time we did it he cried through the whole thing but he has gotten so much better! We are so proud of our little guy and so happy he is feeling better!

Tommy always wants to be the one to hold and comfort him :) He loves his little boy!
